It has been reâintroduced without any significant changes. Purpose The purpose of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Law Enforcement Bill 2010 (the Bill) is to improve oversight of the Australian Federal Police (AFP) by establishing the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Law Enforcement (PJCLE). This Committee will replace and extend the functions of the current Parliamentary Joint Committee on the Australian Crime Commission (PJCACC) and will be responsible for providing parliamentary oversight of the AFP in addition to the Australian Crime Commission (ACC).
