Part 5—Other matters

  

55  Bonus payment not income under Social Security Act or Veterans’ Entitlements Act

                   A bonus payment under Part 2, 3 or 4 is taken not to be income for the purposes of:

                     (a)  the Social Security Act 1991; and

                     (b)  the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986.

56  Appropriation

                   The Consolidated Revenue Fund is appropriated for the purpose of making payments under this Act.

57  Regulations

                   The Governor‑General may make regulations prescribing matters:

                     (a)  required or permitted by this Act to be prescribed; or

                     (b)  necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to this Act.
