Mensline There To Help, Says Irwin A free 24-hour men’s counselling, information and referral line is open for all men who want to talk about family and relationship concerns.

“The service, which is funded through the Commonwealth government, is independent, has no religious affiliation and took more than 120,000 calls nationwide last year on family and relationship issues as well as a range of other coping difficulties from finances to depression,” Mrs Irwin said.

She said callers did not have to give their names to receive confidential support and advice, and interpreters were available.

Mensline can be contacted seven days a week for the cost of a local call on 1300 789978.
