The Federal Minister for Health and Aged Care, Dr Michael Wooldridge, today welcomed two new gap cover ini tiatives announced by HCF.


HCF has entered into agreements with many leading hospitals to cover the medical gap for their members in addition to agreements with several leading pathology providers to cover the full cost of pathology services.


Dr Wooldridge said these initiatives that would benefit HCF members giving them certainty when it came to their medical costs.


“These initiatives cover the full cost of hospital care and pathology services ensuring HCF members have no out-of-pocket charges.


“They are another step forward in ongoing efforts by both the Government, the medical profession and the health insurance industry to enhance the value of private health insurance,” he said.
