First F-111 to Fly

The first of the Air Force's F-111 strike-reconnaissance aircraft to fly since they were cleared for a return to duty yesterday will arrive back at RAAF Base Amberley at 1215 pm today (Tuesday 22 July).

Members of the media are invited to film/photograph the aircraft when it lands.

A senior Air Force official will explain the problems that led to the suspension of the F-111s from flying last month, and there will be an opportunity to inspect an aircraft at close quarters.

Interested media are requested to be at the main entrance to RAAF Base Amberley at 1145am to arrange their access passes.
