The Federal Government has contributed $165,000 through the Dairy Regional Assistance Program to construct a cold storage facility and which will lead to the creation of 9 jobs.

In announcing the grant, Gilmore MP, Joanna Gash said the project, worth about $1,131,000 in total has gone to a Shoalhaven Company, Cream of the Coast Pty Ltd.

The project will establish cold storage facilities at Nowra. Cold storage space will be provided for around 1200 pallets of perishables, which will allow short and long term storage and retrieval facilities for these goods.

"Dairy RAP assists local communities to take the lead in their own development. "It is all about stimulating business investment in dairy communities that need extra support following dairy deregulation", Mrs Gash said.
