Minister Announces New Appointment As Australian Industrial Registrar

The Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, Kevin Andrews, has today announced the appointment

of Mr Doug Williams to the position of Australian Industrial Registrar.

‘I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Williams to this important position and I note that he brings

to the role considerable public and private sector management experience’, Mr Andrews said.

The Registrar is responsible for the management of the Australian Industrial Registry (AIR), which plays a

central role in providing administrative support to the Australian Industrial Relations Commission (AIRC).

The AIR also provides assistance to individuals and organisations, including help and advice on applications and

procedures in respect to the AIRC.

Mr Williams is presently the Chief Executive of the Civil Contractors Federation (National).

Mr Williams will assume his new role on the 9th October.
