Summary

Amends the: Broadcasting Services Act 1992 to: establish a Register of Foreign Ownership of Media Assets to be administered by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA); provide for new assessment criterion for the applications for, and renewals of, community radio broadcasting licences relating to material of local significance; and make consequential amendments; and Australian Communications and Media Authority Act 2005 to enable the ACMA to delegate the power to issues certain notices.
