Senator Sir MAGNUS CORMACK -My question is directed not to the area of letting a hare loose but in order to penetrate some of the fog that has descended on the Senate this morning in answers by Ministers to questions. My question is directed to the Minister representing the Minister for Transport in furtherance of the question asked by my colleague Senator Missen. Is he aware that the provision of information regarding roads, kerbing, pavements and plantations required of the equivalent Victorian Ministry cost, in administrative work, the sum of $750,000? Is the Minister aware that as a result of the provision of information costing $750,000 the Victorian Government received a 56 per cent reduction in its road grants? Yes or no will suit me.

Senator CAVANAGH - I do not know. I will ask the Minister for Transport. The question seems to indicate the justification for the supplying of the information.
