Senator MURPHY (New South WalesAttorneyGeneral) - We would need some kind of reasonable language when we are dealing with the matter, even for the purpose of debate. Nothing would be lost if Senator Carrick's view prevailed. The definition would simply be left hanging. Common sense would be to delete it. It is better that the definition clause have some kind of basis of language so we know what we are doing. I suggest that it is much more convenient to insert the definition and not let the debate get tangled up.
