Senator BUTTON (Victoria) -I rise to make a personal explanation in relation to yesterday's Hansard in which I was described as a senator from Tasmania. I have considered the consequences of the matter. They seem to place me in a dilemma. I am an honourable senator who is the subject of defamatory advertisements in newspapers; alternatively Tam a senator who is a member of the Liberal Party; and the third possibility is that I am a so-called independent senator. I do not contemplate those situations with any equanimity of mind. .In those circumstances I feel that I should explain to the Senate that I am, in fact, a senator from Victoria. As a new honourable senator I as onerous to be placed in that dilemma. . . . .
