Senator GUILFOYLE (Victoria) - I thank the Minister for the Media (Senator Douglas McClelland) for the explanation that he has given of the reasons for the inclusion of the clause. However, they do not overcome the attitude which the Opposition has to proposed clause 40. The Minister has mentioned bodies which have a similar clause in their legislation, but this does not override the reasons that the Opposition has for believing that it is unnecessary for the Australian Film Commission not to be subject to taxation under any law of Australia or of a State or Territory. For that reason I indicate that the Opposition will be opposing clause 40.

Question put-

That the clause stand as printed.
