Senator COTTON (New South Wales) - As I mentioned in my speech when dealing with the Industries Assistance Commission Bill 1973, we had a cognate debate. This Bill is dependent upon the passage of the Industries Assistance Commission Bill. It is quite straightforward and complementary. It repeals section 1 8 of the principal Act which allows for deferred rates of duty to come into force at some future date. There is no need to debate it further. In my view. It could just go straight through.

Question resolved in the affirmative.

Bill read a second time, and passed through its remaining stages without amendment or debate.
