Senator MILLINER (Queensland) - I simply put to the Committee that in the 'Bill as proposed to be amended' it is in the minds of some people that the area marked 'Site of Parliament House' will not be sufficiently large to accommodate a new and permanent parliament house and that the ring road should be taken back to accommodate it. I have no objection to the proposal but I just give warning that perhaps in the future we may have to amend the Bill if we find that the area occupied by the ring road is required for a new and permanent parliament house.
