Senator WITHERS (Western AustraliaLeader of the Opposition in the Senate) - I will take but a few moments, and I generally keep to my word. I would not have spoken on this Supply Bill (No. 3) but for an item which appeared on page 5 of this morning's Melbourne Sun'. It is headlined in large black print:

Senate Holds Up Vital $ Bill.

We have all been here long enough to know that all of a sudden journalists do not come up with these bright ideas. It is quite obviously an article inspired from the Government side.

Senator DOUGLAS McCLELLAND (NEW SOUTH WALES) - That is not quite fair to the journalist involved, and I would not know who he is.
