Senator HANNAN - I wish to direct a question to the Leader of the Government in the Senate. During the absence of Senator Willesee I directed questions to the Leader of the Government concerning our resolution on Russian dissidents. I ask Senator Murphy if he will accept a compliment and I would ask him, if he would, to convey to the Prime Minister in his capacity as Minister for Foreign Affairs appreciation for the speed with which the Australian Ambassador to the United Nations, Sir Laurence Mclntyre, has been instructed to bring to the attention of the Secretary-General of the United Nations the terms of the Senate resolution of 27 September concerning political dissidents in the Union of Soviet Socialists Republics.

Senator MURPHY - I am prepared to accept a compliment for the Prime Minister or myself at any time. I wish only that there were more of them coming from the honourable senator.
