Senator MULVIHILL - I direct a question to the Minister representing the Minister for Foreign Affairs. In view of the fact that many weeks ago he said that Australia was on the verge of signing the Refugee Seamen's Convention and in view of the fact that I subsequently asked him to define on the verge', I, on behalf of the Australian maritime unions, now ask him: Will we have a specific answer before the Parliament is dissolved?

Senator WRIGHT - I interpret the honourable senator's question as a request that we should do so. and I shall do my best to comply with it
