Senator KEEFFE - I direct my question to the Minister representting the Treasurer. In view of the reluctance of the Attorney-

General to investigate the affairs of Dr Nielsen of Townsville and the Universal World Church, I now ask the Minister whether he will undertake to request the Treasurer to examine the affairs of Dr Nielsen and the Church which he claims to lead to ascertain whether any breach of Commonwealth taxation laws or Commonwealth company laws has occurred.

The PRESIDENT - Order! Before I call the Leader of the Government in the Senate I mention that this matter was raised in the adjournment debate last night. Unless the Leader of the Government is aware of the facts adduced in that debate, he may feel disinclined to answer the question, or I may disallow it. I do not think that the Leader can be expected to answer it. However, it is a matter for him.

Senator SIR KENNETH ANDERSON - I was not here for the adjournment debate last night. In any event, I would not answer or attempt to give any assurance which deals with a purely personal matter. It could be quite improper for me so to do. I suggest that the honourable senator should place his question on the notice paper.
