Senator DEVITT (TASMANIA) - My question is directed to the Leader of the Government in the Senate. In view of the approaching termination of the session, which will be followed by a general election, can the Minister give an assurance that a greater effort will be made to provide answers to the many important questions which have been on the notice paper in my case for almost 2 months and in other cases going back to December 1971, especially since procuring these answers would not appear to involve a great amount of effort or research in many instances?

Senator Sir KENNETH ANDERSON - From time to time in the Senate questions have been asked relating to departments which are not under the direct responsibility of Ministers sitting in this place. After question time today I will refresh my memory by looking at the notice paper and I will send requests to the appropriate departments in order to obtain as many answer to questions as is absolutely possible before the dissolution of this Parliament.
