Senator KEEFFE asked the Minister representing the Minister for Supply the following question:

(1)   At an auction sale at Darwin on 21st June 1972, for the purpose of selling stores held by the Department of Supply, what price was obtained for the following items and, to whom were they sold:

Typewriters,

Service clothing and equipment,

Furniture,

Fire extinguishers,

Washing machines,

Refrigerators,

Fans,

Lounge chairs,

Scrap batteries,

Projectors,

Bedside mats,

Air conditioners,

Lawn mowers,

Hydraulic jacks,

Grease unit,

Drying cabinets,

Dining chairs,

Mattresses, 2 Dunlite 30V 40 amp generators, 4½-in lathe,

Hercules drilling machine,

Scrap copper and brass,

Wire rope,

Centrifugal pumps,

Epicyclic winch,

Servex air compressors, 25KVA generator, trailer mounted,

Dish washer,

Deep fry cooker,

Fibrolite piping, 4-in,

Metal towers,

Welders,

Ruston Hornsby generating set 24/3 SV 100/ 180V,

Hydraulic hoist, and

Diesel generator 0-500V.

(2)   Will the Minister provide a full description of each of the items listed in (1) as well as the quantity of each.
