Senator WILLESEE (WESTERN AUSTRALIA) - I ask the Minister representing the Minister for Primary Industry this question: When does the

Minister expect the completion of the Randall Report on the wool industry, and will the report be presented to Parliament?

Senator DRAKE-BROCKMAN - I was asked a similar question yesterday. I said that on 2nd May the Prime Minister made the statement that he hoped that the Randall Report would be presented to him in the next fortnight. The fortnight ended yesterday. My understanding is that the Randall Committee has already produced an interim report to the Government and that it is about to produce a second report to the Government. I understand that further reports will be presented later. The Government must consider the reports and make a decision on the matter. Yesterday I indicated that the time lag would be such that the report could not be presented to Parliament prior to the winter recess. I will convey the substance of the honourable senator's question to the Minister for Primary Industry and if he has any further information I will give it to the honourable senator.
