Senator LITTLE (VICTORIA) - My question is directed to the Minister for Health. Could the Minister inform the Senate whether there has recently been a reduction of 30 per cent in the retail prices of veterinary vaccines supplied by the Commonwealth Serum Laboratories? If so, are such reductions possible because of dramatically improved techniques or are the laboratories retailing at a loss to be met by the taxpayers? If there are no obvious reasons for such a reduction, can the Minister give an assurance that farmers have not previously been grossly overcharged for such products?

Senator Sir KENNETH ANDERSON Here again I need to get a detailed comment from my Department. It would be unfair, in view of the tenor of the question, to give an answer until I get the full facts.
