Senator ST LEDGER (QUEENSLAND) asked the Min-. ister representing the Minister of Trade, and Customs, upon notice -

1.   Is it a fact that, owing to the regulations of the Board of Trade, England, the forequarters of frozen beef have to be deprived of part of the brisket and forelegs in Australia, otherwise they will not be allowed to be landed in any part of Great Britain and Ireland?

2.   If so, what reasons' are alleged by the Board of Trade, England, for the. imposition, of such, a regulation?

3.   What conditions, if any, are prescribed by the Board of Trade, England, on the importation of the hind-quarters of frozen beef?

4.   Does the Board of Trade, England, impose the same condition mentioned in question 1 against the importation of frozen meat from, any other country than Australia?
