Senator CHATAWAY asked the Minister representing the Minister of External Affairs, uponnotice -

x.   If he will table a copy of the poster, alleged in the newspapers to be a girl surrounded by wattle blossoms, which was or is to bc used for advertising Australia in the United Kingdom?

2.   Were applications called for designing it ; and, if so, what prices' were asked?

3.   What number will be obtained, and how is a the estimated cost of same made up?

Senator McGREGOR - The answers to the honorable senator's questions are -

1.   Yes. A copy will be made available. .

2.   Applications were called for designs, but none submitted were accepted. Tenders were also called for printing.

3.   Sufficient to post monthly in 750 positions in Great Britain for six months, at total cost of 13s. 6d. per position per month.
