Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER (Mr Jarman (DEAKIN, VICTORIA) - Is leave granted? There being no objection, leave is granted. (The documents read as follows) -

Mr HUNT - Table 1 is headed 'Australian Government Outlays on Education by Level of Educational Institution, 1972-73 and Estimate 1973-74'. The second is headed 'Australian Government Outlays on Education by Economic Type; 1972-73 and Estimate 1973-74'. The third table, showing the expenditure on education in Australia, shows the annual percentage increase and the implicit price deflator, which is the measure of inflation as far as education services are concerned. Let us not hear again the inaccurate boast that Labor has increased expenditure by 92 per cent over and above the amount that was set aside by the former McMahon Government. It is misleading and inaccurate, and the Australian public should be alerted to the facts. I support the amendment to the Bill as moved by the honourable member for Wannon.
