Mr ENGLAND (CALARE, NEW SOUTH WALES) - As a preface to my question which I direct to the Minister for Health, I would like to say that I wanted to direct this question to the Minister for the Capital Territory to try to put his previous answers and statements into perspective. But the Minister for Health is responsible for the administration of health laws. Will the Minister inform the House how many people in the Australian Capital Territory have been sent to gaol for being involved in abortions?

Dr EVERINGHAM (CAPRICORNIA, QUEENSLAND) (Minister for Health) - These figures have not come to my notice. I will make inquiries and let the honourable gentleman know. I understand that there have been no prosecutions of women involved in abortions.
