Mr Lynch asked the Minister for Labour, upon notice:

(1)   What was the percentage change for the nonfarm sector in (a) implicit price deflator, (b) unit labour costs, (c) unit profits, (d) unit indirect taxless subsidies and (e) other unit costs during each calendar year from and including 1966.

(2)   What was the average percentage change in these categories in each year.

Mr Clyde Cameron (HINDMARSH, SOUTH AUSTRALIA) - The Commonwealth Statistician has supplied the following information in reply to the honourable member's question:

(1)   The following table has been calculated by dividing gross non-farm product and its major cost components by gross non-farm product at constant (average 1966-67) prices and then calculating the year to year percentage changes in the resulting ratios. The cost components are described in the answer to question No. 45.
