Mr GORTON (HIGGINS, VICTORIA) - My question, which is addressed to the Prime Minister, arises out of the answer just given by the Minister for Science about the siting of the Institute of Marine Science. Will the Prime Minister give an undertaking to the House that when the Institute of Marine Science is sited it will be sited nowhere else but in north Queensland? Also, will he give an undertaking that those who examine alternative sites will do their best to see that the site they choose will be as close to Townsville as possible?

Mr WHITLAM - I believe that these matters can be properly discussed and debated when the Bill is introduced.
