Mr CALDER (Northern Territory) - 1rise to support this proposal for the installation of an additional generating set. 1 might point out that it is No. 6. This means that the Government is keeping ahead of the population growth in the Northern Territory with extensions to the Stokes Hill power station. 1 would hope that as a result of the extensions the reticulation to the south of the city towards Batchelor and the Adelaide River will be possible and also that reticulated power will be made available to some of the developing areas immediately to the south of the present city limits. I once again , commend the zealous work of the Public Works Committee. This Government is looking at the future of the Northern Territory and is making positive plans for future increases in its population.

Question resolved in the affirmative.
