Area: 45 sq km (approx.).

Electors enrolled: 71 984 (at 1.12.84).

Industries: Car assembly plants, rubber mills, light engineering and construction works and service industries.

State electorates: Hawker includes the South Australian House of Assembly electorate of Morphett, and parts of Hayward, Mitcham, Mitchell, Unley and Walsh.
