Industries: Clothing and textiles, munitions and heavy engineering, wheat and sheep farming, ceramics, tourism, gold mining.

State electorates: Bendigo includes parts of the Victorian Legislative Assembly electorates of Bendigo East, Bendigo West, Ripon, Rodney and Swan Hill.
