1. M eeting of Senate.—The Senate met at three p.m., pursuant to adjournment.—The Deputy-President (Senator T. C. Drake-Brockman) took the Chair.

6. P ostponement.—Ordered—That Notice of Motion No. 1, Government Business, be postpohed until after consideration of Order of the Day No. 1.

7. P hosphate F ertilizers Bounty Bill 1966.—Order of the Day read for the adjourned debate on the Question—That this Bill be now read a second time. Debate resumed. Question—put and passed.

The Deputy-President resumed the Chair; and the Temporary Chairman of Committees (Senator Wedgwood) reported accordingly. On the motion of the Minister for Customs and Excise (Senator Anderson) the Report from the Committee was adopted, and the Bill read a third time.

P articulars of P roposed E xpenditure 1966-67—P apers.—The Minister for Supply (Senator Henty), pursuant to notice, moved—That the Senate resolve itself forthwith into a Committee of the Whole for the purpose of considering the Particulars of Proposed Expenditure for the Service of the year ending 30th June, 1967, and the Particulars of Proposed Provision for Certain Expenditure in respect of the year ending 30th June, 1967. Question—put and passed. The Senate, according to Order, resolved itself into Committee for the consideration of proposed ex­

Ordered—That consideration of intervening Divisions be postponed until after consideration of proposed

And it being 10.30 p.m.—The Temporary Chairman of Committees (Senator Wedgwood), under Sessional Order, put the Question—That she do leave the Chair and report to the Senate. Question—resolved in the affirmative.

The Deputy-President resumed the Chair; and Senator Wedgwood reported accordingly.

9. Adjournment.—The Deputy-President, under Sessional Order, put the Question—That the Senate do now adjourn. Debate ensued. Question—resolved in the affirmative. The Senate adjourned at fourteen minutes to eleven p.m. till to-morrow at three p.m.
