1. M eeting of Senate.—The Senate met at eleven a.m., pursuant to adjournment.—The President (Senator the Honorable Sir Alister McMullin) took the Chair.

3. Questions.—Questions on notice were answered.
4. P apers.—The following Papers were presented, pursuant to Statute— Public Service Arbitration Act—Determinations by the Arbitrator—1966— No. 60—Australian Builders Labourers’ Federation. No. 61—Hospital Employees’ Federation of Australia.
No. 62—Australian Theatrical and Amusement Employees’ Association.
5. C ommonwealth A ssistance in Provision of Science T eaching F acilities in Secondary Schools— M inisterial Statement.—The Minister for Works (Senator Gorton), by leave, made a statement relating to the distribution of funds by the Commonwealth to secondary schools for the provision of science teaching facilities.
6. T ariff P references to Less D eveloped Countries— M inisterial Statement.—The Minister for Customs and Excise (Senator Anderson), by leave, made a statement relating to administrative arrangements made to implement the Government’s decision to introduce preferential rates of import duties for a range of products of particular export interest to the less developed countries.
7. N ationality and Citizenship Bill 1966.—Order of the Day read for the adjourned debate on the Question —That this Bill be now read a second time. Debate resumed. Ordered—That the debate be adjourned till a later hour of the day, and that the Minister for Housing
(Senator Dame Annabelle Rankin) have leave to continue her speech on the resumption of the debate.
8. F oreign A ffairs— M inisterial Statement, A pril, 1966.—The Minister for Works (Senator Gorton), by leave, made a statement relating to the recent overseas visit by the Minister for External Affairs. Senator Gorton moved, by leave—That the Senate take note of the Statement. On the motion of Senator McKenna the debate was adjourned.
Ordered—That the resumption of the debate be an Order of the Day for the next day of sitting.
9. N ationality and Citizenship Bill 1966.—Order of the Day read for the adjourned debate on the Question —That this Bill be now read a second time. Debate resumed. Question—put and passed. Bill read a second time.
The Senate, according to Order, resolved itself into Committee for the consideration of the Bill.

The President resumed the Chair; and the Chairman of Committees (Senator Drake-Brockman) reported accordingly. On the motion of the Minister for Housing (Senator Dame Annabelle Rankin) the Report from the Committee was adopted, and the Bill read a third time.
10. Bankruptcy Bill 1966.—Order of the Day read for the adjourned debate on the Question—That this Bill be now read a second time. Debate resumed. Ordered—That the debate be adjourned till the next day of sitting, and that Senator Cohen have leave
to continue his speech on the resumption of the debate.
11. Adjournment.—The Minister for Works (Senator Gorton) moved—That the Senate do now adjourn. Debate ensued. Question—put and passed. The Senate adjourned at six minutes to five p.m. till Tuesday next at three p.m.
