5. Statement by Leave.'—Senator McKenna, by leave, made a. statement replying to certain criticism of himself made by the Prime Minister.

Order of Business—Suspension of Standing and Sessional Orders moved.—The Minister for Trade and Customs (Senator O’Sullivan) moved—That so much of the Standing and Sessional Orders be suspended as would prevent the resumption of the debate upon Government Business, Order of the Day No. 1 (Communist Party Dissolution Bill) being made an Order of the Day for a later hour this day, namely 8 p.m. Debate ensued.
