1. Meeting of Senate.—The Senate met at eleven a.m., pursuant to adjournment.

P apers.—The following Papers were presented, by command of His Excellency the Governor-General— Abbco Bread Contract—Report of the Royal Commission appointed to inquire into the contract with the Abbco Bread Co. Pty. Ltd. New Guinea—Report to the Council of the League of Nations on the Administration of the

Territory of New Guinea, for year 1939-40. Tariff Board—Report and Recommendations—Fishing Industry.

The following Papers were presented, pursuant to Statute— Commonwealth Public Service Act—Regulations—Statutory Rules 1941, Nos. 148, 168. Lands Acquisition Act—Land acquired at Scottsdale, Tasmania—For Postal purposes. National Debt Sinking Fund Act—National Debt Commission—Eighteenth Annual Report,

year 1940-41. Patents Act—Regulations—Statutory Rules 1941, No. 198.

4. Adjournment.—The Minister for Supply and Development (Senator McLeay) moved—-That the Senate do now adjourn. Debate ensued. Question—put and passed. The Senate adjourned at eleven minutes to four p.m. till Wednesday next at three p.m.

5. Attendance.—Present, all the Members except Senators Crawford, Foil, Allan MacDonald (on leave), and Wilson.
