1. Meeting of Senate.—The Senate met at ten a.m., pursuant to adjournment.
2. PRAYERS.
3. P apers.—The following Papers were presented, pursuant to Statute— Pay-roll Tax Assessment ActARegulations—Statutory Rules 1941, No. 121. Seat of Government Acceptance Act and Seat of Government (Administration) Act— Ordinances of 1941—
No. 5—Stock. ' No. 6—Industrial Board. Regulations—No. 2 of 1941 (Industrial Board Ordinance).
4. Questions.—Questions on notice were answered.
â¢5. Supply Bill (N o. 1) 1941-42.—Order of the Day read for the adjourned debate on the Question— That the Bill be now read a first time. Debate resumed. Question—put and passed. Bill read a first time. On the motion of the Minister for Supply and Development (Senator McLeay) the Bill was read a
second time. The Senate, according to Order, resolved itself into Committee for the consideration of the Bill.
In the Committee.
Clauses 1 to 5 agreed to. The Schedule debated and agreed to. Preamble agreed to.
Title agreed to. Bill to be reported without requests.
The President resumed the Chair ; and the Chairman of Committees (Senator James McLachlan) reported accordingly. On the motion of Senator McLeay the Report from the Committee was adopted, and the Bill read a third time.

â 6. Adjournment Negatived.—The President, under Sessional Order, put the Question—That the Senate do now adjourn— Which Question was negatived. .
7. Next Meeting of the Senate.—The Minister for Supply and Development (Senator McLeay) moved— That the Senate, at its rising, adjourn till Tuesday next at three p.m. Question—put and passed.
8. Adjournment.—The Minister for Supply and Development (Senator McLeay) moved—That the Senate do now adjourn. Debate ensued. Question—put and passed. The Senate adjourned at twenty-two minutes past five p.m. till Tuesday next at three p.m.
9. Attendance.—Present, all the Members except Senators Abbott, Arthur, Crawford, Dein, Keane, McBride, Spicer, and Wilson.
