1. Meeting of Senate.—The Senate met at three p.m., pursuant to adjournment.
2. PRAYERS.
3. Questions.—Questions on notice were answered.
4. Leave of Absence. — Senator de Largie, pursuant to notice, moved—That two months’ leave of absence be granted to Senator Guthrie on account of urgent public business. Question—put and passed.
5. Aliens R egistration Bill.—The Vice-President of the Executive Council (Senator Russell), according to Order, moved—That the Bill be now read a third time. Question—put and passed. Bill read a third time and passed.
6. I nvalid and Old-age Pensions Appropriation Bill.—The Minister for Repatriation (Senator Milieu), according to Order, moved—That the Bill be now read a third time. Question—put and passed. Bill read a third time and passed.
7. War Pensions Appropriation Bill.—The Minister for Repatriation (Senator Millen), according to Order, moved—That the Bill be now read a third time. Question—put and passed. Bill read a third time and passed.
8. Supplementary Appropriation Bill 1917-18.—The Minister for Repatriation (Senator Millen), according to Order, moved—That the Bill be now read a second time. Question—put and passed. Bill read a second time. The Senate, according to Order, resolved itself into a Committee for the consideration of the Bill.
