JOURNALS OF THE SENATE.
THURSDAY, 14th AUGUST, 1919.
1. Meeting of Senate.—The Senate met at three p.m., pursuant to adjournment.
2. PRAYERS.
3. The Late Mr. A. C. P almer, M.P.—The Minister for Repatriation (Senator Millen), by leave of the Senate, moved—That the Senate records its sincere regret at the death of the late Albert Clayton Palmer, member for the Division of Echuca, and expresses its appreciation of the zeal with which he devoted himself to his public duties, and its profound sympathy with his bereaved
wife and family in their great sorrow. And the motion having been seconded by Senator Gardiner— . And all Senators present having risen, in silence— Question—passed unanimously.
4. Adjournment.—-As a mark of respect to the late Mr. A. C. Palmer, the Senate then adjourned, at five minutes past three p.m., till to-morrow at eleven a.m.
5. A ttendance.—Present, all the Members except Senators Barnes, Fairbairn, Guy (on leave), Keating, Lynch, Pearce (on leave), and Shannon. . .
