PARLIAMENTARY RETIRING ALLOWANCES TRUST-APPOINTMENT OF TRUSTEE

The Deputy-President (Senator Hamer) informed the Senate that the President had received a letter from the Leader of the Government (Senator Button) nominating Senator Ray to serve as a trustee on the Parliamentary Retiring Allowances Trust consequent upon the resignation of Senator McClelland.

The Special Minister of State (Senator Tate), by leave, moved-That, in accordance with the provisions of the Parliamentary Contributory Superannuation Act 1948, the Senate appoint Senator Ray as a trustee to serve on the Parliamentary Retiring Allowances Trust on and from this day consequent upon the resignation of Senator McClelland.
