CONSTITUTIONAL AND LEGAL AFFAIRS-STANDING COMMITTEE-REPORT ON IVF AND THE STATUS OF CHILDREN-GOVERNMENT RESPONSE-MINISTERIAL STATEMENT

The Minister for Resources and Energy (Senator Evans), by leave, made a statement responding to the Report of the Standing Committee on Constitutional and Legal Affairs on National Uniformity in Laws Relating to the Status of Children Born through the use of In Vitro Fertilisation, tabled on 6 December 1985, and moved-That the Senate take note of the Statement.

Debate ensued.

Ordered-That the debate be adjourned till the next day of sitting, and that Senator Durack have leave to continue his speech on the resumption of the debate.
