CUSTOMS AMENDMENT (PROHIBITION OF THE EXPORTATION OF URANIUM TO FRANCE) BILL 1986

Senator Sanders, pursuant to Notice of Motion not objected to as a Formal Motion, moved-That leave be given to introduce a Bill for an Act to amend the Customs Act 1901 to give effect to the policy whereby Australia will refuse to allow the supply of Australian uranium to France until France ceases testing nuclear weapons in the South Pacific region.

Question-put and passed.
