PRIVILEGE

Senator Bolkus raised a matter of privilege relating to comments made by a counsel before the Royal Commission on Australia's Security and Intelligence Agencies.

Senator Bolkus moved-That the comments of Mr Charles Q.C. before the Royal Commission on Australia's Security and Intelligence Agencies and especially those comments referring to Senator Bolkus on page 5532 of the transcript of proceedings of the Royal Commission be referred to the Committee of Privileges.

Debate ensued.

On the motion of the Minister for Social Security (Senator Grimes) the debate was adjourned.

Ordered-That the resumption of the debate be an Order of the Day for the next day of sitting.
