The following petitions, presented by the Senators indicated, were received and read: Senator Lajovic, from 2059 citizens of Australia praying that the Senate continue to support the Youth Services Program beyond the end of the pilot scheme in June 1982.

Senator Bolkus, from 122 citizens of Australia praying that the Senate request the Government to immediately extend the operations of the Special Broadcasting Service Channel 0/28 to Adelaide.

Senator Missen, from 129 citizens of Australia praying that the Senate request the Government to hold a referendum on the question that the entire area of the Great Barrier Reef and its surrounding waters be immediately declared a marine park under the provisions of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Act 1975.

Senator Georges, from 129 citizens of Australia praying that the Senate urge the Government to increase funding to the University of Queensland to enable library facilities to be restored to their former level.
