ESTIMATES COMMITTEES-REFERENCE OF PARTICULARS OF PROPOSED EXPENDITURE 1982-83 AND DEPARTMENTAL EXPENDITURE UNDER ADVANCE TO THE MINISTER FOR FINANCE 1981-82

The Leader of the Government in the Senate (Senator Sir John Carrick), pursuant to Notice of Motion not objected to as a Formal Motion, moved-

(1) That the Particulars of Proposed Expenditure for the Service of the Year ending on 30 June 1983 in relation to the Parliamentary Departments, the Particulars of Proposed Expenditure for the Service of the Year ending on 30 June 1983 and the Particulars of Certain Proposed Expenditure in respect of the year ending on 30 June 1983 be referred to Estimates Committees for examination and report.

(2) That expenditure under the Advance to the Minister for Finance for the Year ended 30 June 1982 be referred to Estimates Committees for examination and report prior to its consideration in Committee of the Whole.

(3) That the Committees consider Proposed Expenditure and Departmental Expenditure under the Advance to the Minister for Finance, by departments, as follows:

Attorney-General's

Vice-President of the Executive Council

Estimates Committee B- Education

Communications

Home Affairs and Environment

Estimates Committee C- Prime Minister and Cabinet

Treasury

Finance

Administrative Services

Estimates Committee E- National Development and Energy

Employment and Industrial Relations

Capital Territory

Estimates Committee F- Science and Technology

Estimates Committee H- Primary Industry

Industry and Commerce

Trade and Resources.

(4) That the Committees report to the Senate on or before Thursday, 23 September 1982.
