ESTIMATES COMMITTEES-REFERENCE OF PARTICULARS OF PROPOSED ADDITIONAL EXPENDITURE 1981-82

The Minister for National Development and Energy (Senator Sir John Carrick), pursuant to notice, moved-

(1) That the Particulars of Proposed Additional Expenditure for the Service of the Year ending on 30 June 1982 and the Particulars of Certain Proposed Additional Expenditure in respect of the Year ending 30 June 1982 be referred herewith to Estimates Committees for examination and report.

(2) That the Committees consider Proposed Additional Expenditure in the Estimates Committees groupings agreed to by Resolution of the Senate of 2 April 1981.

(3) That the Committees report to the Senate on or before Tuesday, 4 May 1982.

Senator Grimes moved an amendment, viz: At end of motion, add ''(4) That, unless otherwise ordered, the days on which Estimates Committees meet be Tuesday, 20 April 1982, Thursday, 22 April 1982 and Friday, 23 April 1982, and Friday, 30 April 1982 if required, and that the sittings of the Senate be suspended where required to enable the Committees to meet.''.

Question-That the words proposed to be added be added-put.
