Senator Grimes, by leave, moved-That the Senate take note of the answer given by the Minister for Social Security (Senator Chaney) to a Question asked by Senator Giles on 24 February 1982, relating to proposed legislation concerned with avoidance of disclosure of income for the purpose of obtaining a pension.

Ordered-That the debate be adjourned till the next day of sitting, and that Senator Grimes have leave to continue his speech on the resumption of the debate .

The Leader of the Australian Democrats (Senator Chipp), by leave, made a statement.
