Notices of Motion were given, as follows-- The Attorney-General (Senator Durack): That, on the next day of sitting, he would move--That leave be given to introduce a Bill for an Act to amend the Crimes Act 1914, and for related purposes.

Senator Scott: That, on the next day of sitting, he would move--That the following matter be referred to the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence:

Australia's defence co-operation with its neighbours in the Asian-Pacific region, with particular reference to the present scope, purpose, effectiveness and flexibility of such co-operation.
