The House of Representatives transmits to the Senate a Bill intituled ""A Bill for an Act to amend the law relating to defence'', in which it desires the concurrence of the Senate.

The Minister for Finance (Senator Dame Margaret Guilfoyle) moved--That the Bill may be taken through all its stages without delay.

Question--put and passed.

Senator Dame Margaret Guilfoyle moved--That this Bill be now read a second time.

On the motion of Senator Robertson the debate was adjourned.
