Senator WONG (South AustraliaLeader of the Opposition in the Senate) (20:50): I don't want to have a long discussion about pairing arrangements. I will just note that it is much better to deal with these matters in the usual fashion—with notice and discussion between parties—than it is to deal with an inadvertent attendance. In this context, the appropriate course of action is the one that the Leader of the Government has taken, which is to seek a recommittal, which the opposition, in the circumstances, will be supporting.
