Mr TUCKEY —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That this House-

(1) expresses its grave concern over the Government policy of constant upward revaluation of the Australian dollar for the purpose of discouraging capital inflow and artificially reducing the Consumer Price Index, and

(2) notes that the present value of the Australian dollar does not reflect its value in terms of Australian productivity, and that its recent increases in value will have a proportionate downward effect on the competitiveness of Australian exporters and manufacturers of products for home consumption, including the embattled car industry.
